Love in Action
Our newest Outreach initiative is a one-time engagement opportunity to experience what God is already doing through our partners in Charlotte.
There will be a new offering monthly with a clergy or staff member!
November Love in Action:
Urgent-Nourish Up and Crisis Assistance Ministry November Collection of Items, Through November 30, donation receptacles which are labeled by the window in the welcome center– With recent reductions in SNAP benefits, many families in our community are facing increased challenges—and your support is more vital than ever. We are currently collecting essential food items for Nourish Up, including canned meat, canned fruit, canned vegetables, pasta, and cereal (please no glass containers). In addition, we are gathering clothing donations for Crisis Assistance Ministry, such as men’s and children’s clothing, school uniforms (solid-color golf or polo shirts, and khaki, navy, or black pants or skirts), shoes, and socks. All contributions can be placed in the clearly marked bins located by the windows in the Welcome Center. Thank you for helping us uplift our neighbors in need.
Drivers Needed – Nourish Up Groceries Delivery, ongoing,– As SNAP benefits are cut and the need for food security rises, Nourish Up is in need of drivers to deliver nonperishable food boxes and fresh produce to client’s homes (about 4-6 stops for a total of 15-24 boxes). Routes are all around Charlotte and boxes must be picked up between 10-11:30 a.m., delivered by 2 p.m.| Sign up directly with Nourish Up here. Questions? Contact MPPC’s Nourish Up leader Dan Nunn.
