Student A/V Tech

Weekday School Lead Teacher (Half-Day Program)

We are seeking Weekday School Lead Teachers to join our Half-Day Program. These Lead Teachers will plan and present age-appropriate activities for children in our Toddler Classroom, and in our Two’s classroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
  • Create a fun and safe learning environment
  • Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity and playtime
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
  • Communicate with parents on students’ growth and progress
  • Maintain the health and safety of all students

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or higher in related field preferred
  • Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
  • Passionate about working with children
  • Ability to build rapport with children
  • Positive and patient demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Weekday School Lead Teacher (Full-Day Program)

Myers Park Presbyterian Church is currently seeking candidates for the Weekday School Full-Day Program. 

Our Full-Day school is a five-star licensed program for infants through preschool age.  Our teachers provide a safe and nurturing Christian environment which supports the physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual development of each child.

Our teachers are responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum, supervising children to ensure they are safe at all times, and maintaining a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Must have current Qualifying Letter, First Aid, CPR, and pass a background check.
  • Lead Teachers need a minimum of an Associate Degree or higher in Early Childhood Development and a minimum of two years of experience in a licensed program.

Weekday School Assistant Teacher (Half-Day Program)

We are seeking Assistant Teachers to join our Weekday School Half-Day Program. These teachers will implement age-appropriate curriculum for children in our Toddler Classroom, and in our Two’s classroom.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the lead teacher in the implementation of the weekly plan of activities
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for the children
  • Maintain good communication with the parents
  • Assist with morning and afternoon carpool

QUALIFICATIONS

  • NC Credentials I and II or a related field preferred, and a high school diploma
  • Passionate about working with children
  • Ability to build rapport with children
  • Positive and patient demeanor
