Growing in Faith

Ministries with Children and Their Families

Even with all the changes brought into our lives by COVID-19, we know that your family is still buzzing with all of the typical back-to-school energy. New teachers, new classes, new friendships, and this year… new face masks!

Even though we are not able to be together on our campus at this time, there are many opportunities planned for the children and families of Myers Park Presbyterian Church.

This season brings the opportunity (and challenge!) to creatively continue our mission of leading children in discipleship as they grow in their faith and share in age-appropriate ministry opportunities. We are grateful for your flexibility and for your continued participation in the life of the church.  Please reach out to us with any questions. We hold you and your families in our prayers.

Blessings,

Linda Ibsen, Interim Children’s Ministry Director
Mandy Rencher, Children’s Ministry Coordinator
Kabrel Brown, Administrative Assistant for Children & Youth

Sunday School

Our curriculum for the fall will be An Illustrated Earth: Celebrating God’s Creation. Based on the results of the survey that many of you responded to, we will host a combination of Zoom classes and pre-recorded video lessons. The videos will have cameo appearances from all of our pastors! Please see the flyer for more detailed information about the schedule.

Faith Milestones

Join us for our Milestone programs where children and parents explore and learn together about foundational aspects of our faith: Worship, Communion, Prayer, Bible, Mission, and more. Registration information will be communicated via email and through Connect closer to the time of each event.

Families with Young Children

This group is exploring creative ways to gather for fellowship and to support one another. They hope to continue with the traditions of the annual costume party, Christmas story time, Mom’s Night Out, and monthly playgroups. Keep your eye out for emails and information in Connect with details!
