The Most Difficult Time of The Year
These days can stir up all kinds of feelings, even the ones we’d rather not admit.
Some folks move through December with a full heart, while others are doing their best just to stay upright.
We’ve gathered a handful of ideas, small practices, and places to turn to find your footing.

Some Simple Tips
Set a Ceiling: Before the calendar fills itself, choose how many evening commitments you can handle. Protect the rest. Your future self will thank you.
Notice What Drains You: Pay attention to which events, tasks, or people leave you steadier, and which leave you tapped out. Adjust your plans accordingly.
Keep Expectations Realistic: The goal isn’t a flawless month. Aim for “enjoyment with intention.”
Reach Out Before Things Snowball: If you’re overwhelmed, don’t wait until you’re at capacity. A quick check-in with a friend, pastor, or therapist can help you reset sooner rather than later.
Plan A Thing That’s Just for You: Read a chapter, take a walk, listen to music, or just take a moment with a hot cocoa. A small practice done regularly beats a big practice done never.
