Sunday Worship
You’re invited. Always.
Sunday Worship is our opportunity to celebrate our connection not only to the body of Christ that is the church, but to God. Glorifying and enjoying God is our highest calling, and worship is the central place we do this.

Double Visions
November 10-24
In the Bible, when the people of God face widespread turmoil, they turn to apocalyptic writing – looking to a reality beyond the control of worldly powers.
The book of Daniel represents such apocalyptic vision. Set amid the Babylonian exile, where God’s people were subject to political whims beyond their control, Daniel offers meaningful stories of God’s presence working on behalf of those the world deems powerless.
From these stories, God’s people found courage to live into God’s vision of the beloved community. Join us as we explore Daniel’s “double visions,” contrasting worldly powers with God’s vision.
Both of our worship services address the same weekly scripture throughout each series.
Serving in Worship
Serving in Worship is an enriching, faithful experience. There are plenty of opportunities to different gifts and availability.
Visiting Myers Park Pres
What to Expect
First of all, welcome! It’s not always the easiest or most comfortable thing to visit a church for the first time. In short: we’re an inclusive, spirit-filled community of faith at work in Charlotte, NC and around the world.
What are services like?
We have number of worshiping opportunities each Sunday, and have special worship services throughout the year. The section above is regularly updated with the latest info.
Traditional worship is just that – a reformed protestant service featuring hymns, prayer, scripture reading, and a sermon. Hymns are sung out of the red hymnbooks available in each pew. The specific songs are listed in the bulletin you’ll be handed on the way in. This service takes place in the Sanctuary and lasts for one hour.
Celebrate Worship is a more contemporary service, led by a band and featuring Christian praise music, prayer, scripture reading, and a sermon. We’ll have the words to the music on the screen, feel free to sing as much as you feel comfortable. This service takes place in Oxford Hall and lasts for one hour.
Visitors won’t be singled out or made to feel uncomfortable. Our pastors and church leaders are available at the doors after services to greet visitors and answer any questions.
What about my kids?
Children are welcomed in each worship service as well. There are worship bags that include crayons and drawing sheets, and there is a children’s moment during which young people are invited to the front to hear a short message tailored to them.
We have a nursery for the littlest ones on the first floor of the B-Building. Check with a greeter or usher when you arrive and they’ll point you in the right direction.
How should I particpate?
People arrive at churches for many reasons and come with varied levels of desire for engagement and participation. Some look to “dive right in” and get involved as much as possible. Others prefer to take their time and get to know the rhythms of the church before they plug into anything in particular. We want to honor and accommodate your call no matter where you find yourself on that spectrum.
