Love Builds Up
A Home
events andMission: Hope Haven helps offers a residential recovery program that empowers individuals and their families to move beyond the cycles of homelessness and addiction to become productive citizens in the community. Hope Haven is dedicated to helping people in recovery rebuild their lives by providing them supportive services needed to achieve healthy recovery and economic independence.
Population Served: Chemically dependent, at-risk individuals and their families.
History: Hope Haven was founded in 1976 through the efforts of individuals concerned with the lack of services available for chemically dependent women in early recovery. The first home opened for 5 women. Today, Hope Haven helps 300 homeless and at-risk individuals a year.
Approach: Hope Haven clinical services offer five programs to transition residents to independent living. All residents participate in regular counseling, AA/NA/CA meetings, parenting and recovery workshops, vocational and educational assessments, and job training programs. Recognizing the importance of a supportive family unit to successful recovery, Hope Haven allows for parent-children reunification earlier in the recovery process.
