Life, Light, & Lies: A Love Letter – 1 John

April 7 - May 12

One commentator compares 1 John to a musical symphony. He writes, "1 John is not a Brandenberg Concerto that chugs relentlessly along a straight line from start to finish.  1 John is more like Ravel’s vertiginous Bolero, which repeats a few themes with increasingly complex orchestration.” (Black, NIB, p. 371)

Those themes are life, light, and love. They work to undo the lies that too often define the world in which we live. Join us as we explore the beauty of this powerful epistle.

Mission

Our Mission

Claimed by the Love of God in Jesus Christ,
we are called into this community of faith;
living out our love for God
in worship, study, and service;
loving and supporting one another
as we join God’s transforming work
in our city and in the world.
