Sailing Retreat

Spiritual practices and disciplines are hard to incorporate until they become a habit. We will practice and learn some disciplines that can be integrated into your life. We will begin with the practice of mindfulness, going through all 8 sessions of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) class during our time together. Youth will also learn to sail in the Chesapeake Bay.

Daily activities will be Sailboat races, swimming, meditation, Sailing, cards, reading and watching the sun rise and set.

Where will we sleep: There will be a Sailboat for the girls and a Sailboat for the guys. We will sleep on the boat. Twice we will be at a marina to use showers and visit the small towns of St. Michaels and Annapolis. Other nights, we will anchor and sleep on the boat. There are 4-5 cabins on each boat.

How will we get there: We will depart early on July 6 by van to Annapolis.

Question: Can I go on the sailing trip and Montreat? YES! Montreat does not begin until July 18.
