Love Builds Up Fund

The Love Builds Up Fund is Outreach Ministry’s new initiative that will continue the work the COVID-19 Fund began by providing financial support to our ministry partners as they work to address many issues in our community that were brought to light through the pandemic. Thank you for joining this united effort to live out the love of Christ in tangible ways.

Support Remote Learning in Partnership with CrossRoads

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, 3100 Leroy St. – In partnership with CrossRoads, MPPC delivers lunch to elementary and middle school students at Grier Heights Community Center as they engage in remote learning. Volunteers pick up lunch from MPPC and deliver 40 individually packed lunches to GHCC at 10am on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.| Email Genie Richards if interested.

Volunteer with or Donate Items to Crisis Assistance Ministry

Tuesdays – Saturdays from 9 – 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., or 2:30 – 4:30 p.m., 500-A Spratt St. – Volunteer in Crisis Assistance Ministry’s Free Store Production Area to help in a variety of roles from sorting and inspecting donated items to hanging clothing; which provides families in our community with essentials free-of-charge. | Sign Up

Crisis accepts new or gently used clothing for men, women, and children, as well as household goods such as blankets, kitchenware, and personal care products at their donation drive-thru. Find out more here.

FREE STORE PRODUCTION: Volunteers in the Free Store Production area, help in a variety of roles, from sorting and inspecting donated items; sizing and hanging clothing; to stocking the Free Store, which provides families in our community with essentials free of charge.

FREE STORE ASSISTANT: Volunteers in the Free Store, assist with store merchandising and operations while providing friendly, positive, and efficient customer service to families who shop free-of-charge for essentials.

Billingsville-Cotswold Elementary School (BCE) Tutoring

As the virtual school year comes to a close, ensuring
learning is a top priority. HELPS Tutoring is looking for new and
past volunteers to help reach their goal of serving 600 students
this year! Tutors would work with BCE students via Zoom throughout
the school year and into the summer.

Loaves & Fishes

Warehouse Volunteers and Home Delivery Drivers

Loaves and Fishes is in need of volunteers to help pack food boxes in their warehouse! They have 2 shifts a day, 9 a.m. – 11:30am or 1 – 3:30pm available Monday – Friday. This is perfect for individuals or small groups of up to 10 people. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Volunteers are also needed for home deliveries. To sign up, click here.

Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region

Charlotte Rescue Mission

Support Charlotte Rescue Mission by donating items from their Amazon wish list. These donations provide necessities like deodorant, dental hygiene, shampoo and body wash, etc.

Samaritan House

Samaritan House is still accepting prepared and/or pre-cooked meals as drop offs for lunches and dinners. These meals can be prepared/cooked at home or ordered from a store or restaurant. Donated meals are one of the most important volunteer duties because they allow the small staff the chance to concentrate on other aspects of keeping Samaritan House the great place that it is.

Hope Haven
