At a moment in history, Jesus turned water into wine. It was a miracle. Today, the transformational work of God continues in our world. As a faith community, Myers Park Presbyterian Church is committed to living out our love for God. We live out this love through our mission and ministries.

At this moment in history, transformational ministry is happening. It happens when we serve—and it happens when we give. One of the true transformational works occurs when God receives what we give and turns our giving into ministries. It is a miracle. We share our financial resources—and God multiplies our generosity and impacts countless lives. As the Stewardship Director at Myers Park Presbyterian, I see this transformational work every day. I would love to share some of this story with you.

On May 14th, I will be sharing in worship four ways that giving becomes ministry; four ways God is doing transformational work in our world.[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” separator_top_type=”none” separator_top_height=”50px” separator_top_angle_point=”50″ separator_bottom_type=”none” separator_bottom_height=”50px” separator_bottom_angle_point=”50″ style=”margin: 0px;padding: 0px;”][cs_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][x_video_embed no_container=”false” type=”16:9″][/x_video_embed][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” separator_top_type=”none” separator_top_height=”50px” separator_top_angle_point=”50″ separator_bottom_type=”none” separator_bottom_height=”50px” separator_bottom_angle_point=”50″ style=”margin: 0px;padding: 25px 0px 0px;”][cs_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][cs_text]I have an invitation and a challenge. Will you mark your calendar for May 14th and please make it a priority to worship in one of our services this day? Secondly, please come prepared to do two things:
1) Listen to the stories we will tell about God’s transformational work.
2) Prayerfully discern a one-time gift that you can give to these transformational ministries.

We are calling May 14th our Day of Giving. Join us as we discover these transformational ministries—and make transformational gifts! In the meantime, did you know that you can give to MPPC through the MPPC mobile app? If you do not have the app, you can download it at the iTunes or Google Play store. On the Day of Giving, we will share how gifts to these ministries can be made directly through the App. And of course, we will be passing the plate and receiving cash and checks this day as well.

I hope to see you on May 14th. If you have any questions about stewardship or generosity at MPPC, please contact me at smitchell@myersparkpres.org or 704.927.1287.

Grace and peace,

Sean
